The Governance Committee of the Rosedale Day School Board of Directors is inviting parents and community members to apply to serve on the Board. The Board is seeking two new members: one current parent and one external/non-parent board member with applicable skills. 

The primary responsibility of the Governance Committee is to ensure that the Board is well-equipped to carry out its oversight role with respect to the School. One of the most important things the Governance Committee works on is identifying strong candidates for the Board. Using a competency-based model, the Committee identifies skills and experience that need to be considered as we plan for the future.

In reviewing applications, the Governance Committee looks to constitute a Board that balances a mix of competencies and experience, established Alumni, current and past parents, and external/non-parent members. The Board is also committed to ensuring there is diverse representation on the Board of Directors whose skills and experience align with our competency framework.
