Support RDS

As a non-profit organization, RDS relies on philanthropic support to make an impactful difference. I hope you will join me and make a donation to the RDS Annual Giving Campaign by clicking here. All donations above $20 will receive an income tax receipt.

Adapt Confidently, Engage Responsibly

Since RDS opened its doors in 1995, our Community has been a deeply involved one that gives back to the school in so many ways. The meaningful relationships that RDS staff share with our students helps them develop the character, skills, and competencies they'll need to be successful in high school and beyond.

Your generosity plays a critical role in all of this. The tuition paid by our families covers the cost of day-to-day school operations but funds needed for facility improvements or program enhancements are raised through donations.

The Annual Giving Campaign provides the RDS Community with an opportunity to give back to the School we all love. Our goal this year is 100% participation and with your help, we can make it happen!

Campaign Priorities

Annual Giving funds received this year will be used to support priorities identified in our strategic plan, Meaningful Learning for Life and invested into important improvements that will impact the day-to-day lives of our students.

Specific priorities for 2023/24 include:

STEAM Program: Mr. Scott Ramkissoon, our Middle School Science Specialist and STEAM Coordinator (JK-8), would like to purchase a class set of Virtual Reality Headsets to enable students to leverage this technology to augment their learning and thinking.

Classroom Enhancements: Led by our Junior and Middle School Coordinators, Mrs. Laura Trought and Mrs. Julia Buwalda, we would like to continue to update our student learning environments with new technology, soft furniture and other improvements.

Living Wall & Hydroponic Garden: The study of plants and their growth is a topic covered at various stages in the curriculum. RDS would like to install a living wall to enable students to study plants and hydroponic gardening techniques. Ultimately this would enable students to have hands-on experiences growing plants and food.

Arts: Led by Ms. Recknagel, our Art Teacher, we would like to develop a dedicated student art gallery on the 3rd floor, with proper lighting to display students’ work.

“When thorough academic preparation happens in a character-based nurturing environment, the outcome is meaningful learning for life."

How can I contribute?

Thank you for your participation.
